In 2600 A.D., the sun moves closer to Earth and wipes out humanity. Tara reflects on her life while waiting for the apocalypse with Kevin in the Pacific Ocean. She recalls her childhood on a cotton plantation in South Carolina, discovering her immortality at age 10, and meeting new family members. Her memories span the Civil War and the early 1900s, she encounters a Apache tribe, offering clues of her father, an immortal who has been missing since childhood.
