Book Cover: Ashes of the Immortal

I am beyond excited about the new cover of my second book, Ashes of the Immortal. After messing around with a few images on Chat GPT and receiving feed back from Science Fiction groups, religion became the topic of conversation. I promise, my stories are not religious, but I talk about them and even have a few characters that Kevin meets on Earth.

My stories touch on religion due to my love of philosophy. To me, they both go hand and hand because you are critically thinking about what is real and what is not. Belief is powerful and I love challenging this, hence the religious features in this story. We can not talk about reincarnation without religion, or philosophy. I have to ask these questions because Kevin is asking these questions in his journey. What is real? What is true? Why am I here? How do we know that what we believe is true? What is the point of living? Dying? Kevin, even though he is not human, he is asking questions that every human being asks in their lifetime. We have to respect Kevin’s journey, adding religion and philosophy undertones is vital to this.

Kevin, who is Tara’s soulmate has the gift of reincarnation and does not remember his lives until he becomes a vampire. He sees all of his lives and this is how he finds his true purpose. Him becoming a vampire is not a coincidence, this is divine intervention, but not in the way of the existence of God. As a woman in this world, I know that God is real. But, how do I know that? In this book, God is absent for a reason. Maybe God is an being that is not from Earth. We make God the creator and real due to our lack of raw information on where God truly comes from. Maybe he comes from the planet of Kevin’s origin. I wanted to explore that. I hope that you understand that my books will question everything because I do. I am very open to different opinions, let’s discuss them here. I never judge a critical mind.

I finally decided on a cover that works for my message, which is also pleasing to the eye. I love the mystery of the cover and hope you are motivated to read this second story. There are many surprises in this one, stay tuned.
