Hi, Everyone. Let me introduce myself properly:

I write under my pen name, Prudence Sky, but my real name is Tameeka Foster. I chose a pen name because it allows me to write with ambiguity…I have a deep love of creating from my imagination. Seeing and writing my thoughts into stories is my happy place.

My intention is to be seen through my work. I would love the kind of recognition Stephen King has; people love his stories, but no one cares where he gets coffee. My dream is to write great stories, have them enjoyed, earn a comfortable living, and continue creating. I would prefer to avoid fame, but I have no control over that. I love what I do..being an artist is my true calling and life’s purpose. Through my work and pen name, I share the truest parts of who I am.

I write science fiction rooted in philosophy, religion, and metaphysics. And I’m also a goofball with no real sense. Both pages reflect different layers of me.

Few Facts About Me

In my free time: I’m at the beach, hiking, wandering around museums, dancing for no reason, drinking too much coffee, listening to music while writing, bingeing 90 day fiancé, bingeing a horror/science fiction show or movie.

One thing people are surprised to learn about me: I bake vegan cookies, muffins, and breads. I’m not vegan. Why not enjoy good food with less fat, dairy, sugar if you make it right.

One thing people learn about me: I love heights and being in the air. After college, I spent a summer in Arizona to become a pilot. No private license yet, but its on my bucket list.

I write: As a result of my own dreams and fears. I used to have weird dreams as a kid and wrote them down. My book was created from my teenage journals. “Immortality’s End” was written to explore the reality of people who did not die.

I write stories that explore reality, metaphysics, spirituality, love, and time. All things we have little control over.

My inspirations: Anne Rice, Ray Bradbury, Rod Sterling, Alex Haley, Stephen King, Greek Mythology, Bram Stoker, Brother’s Grimm, Philosophy, Christianity…the list is endless.

Oh, and one last thing: The name, Prudence Sky was created in my late 20s. I was watching a lot of “Charmed” and loved the name, Prudence. And I thought Sky was a cool combination.
